I think we had the smallest room at the hotel with a dog! We arrived at the hotel straight from the beach and while my husband was in the shower we discovered no towels were in the room. I had to go down two floors (lift broken!) just for staff to tell me sorry no towels available while they wait for their linen delivery. It would have been very helpful to be told this at check-in ten minutes prior! The room was boiling hot and no fan available in the whole hotel. We booked for three nights and left after one!

Worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Never again

When we arrived at the hotel we were charged an extra £10 to park. No mention of that booking. The Hotel looked like it had been closed down for refurbishment wet paint signs all in reception no furniture. arrived at our rooms had beautiful views but rooms were very tired and dated. carpets are filthy and radiators, filthy bathroom really outdated blocked toilets no loo roll. Shower was awful no power whatsoever very very small cubicle.Just one cup in a room for two people. Kettle has old water in from previous occupants. The worst thing was on our return in the evening the fire alarm went off numerous times from 3 am really really loud we were actually afraid but nobody came to reassure us. Nobody was around. We went out into the hallway where we heard lots of screaming and shouting on the floor above but no reassurance from the Hotel whatsoever really need to look into the safety procedures. We emailed to explain our concerns and did not even get a reply. Honestly, I would give this Hotel a miss. It’s not up to standard we stayed for one night just felt sorry for anyone that had booked that for a few days. Looking forward to a break in Newquay. You would be totally disappointed.

This hotel was not good. We walked in and the first thing you could smell was cigarette smoke. Once we had got to our room, we found there was no towels, the fan provided didn't work, the bedding didn't fit on the beds and there were hairs all over the bathroom. There was only one available socket and it was coming off the wall. The ceiling looked like it was so water damaged. Such a shame as it is a good location and parking nearby wasn't horrendous to find. If you aren't fussy about where you sleep, this may work just as somewhere to sleep. Very disappointed.

Terrible hotel and service...leave well alone

I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to think carefully before booking. Our original room was unacceptable. There was a strong smell of damp that triggered my asthma. There appeared to be faeces on a towel and the carpet, the bedding was dirty, pillowcases stained, mould was present, and the bathroom tiles appeared to have bodily fluids on them. The room clearly had not been properly cleaned. To be fair, a member of staff apologised and moved us to another room. However, while slightly better, it was still dirty. The toilet bin contained waste left by a previous guest. My son’s room was also below any acceptable standard. There was no hot water in any of the rooms and the shower pressure was extremely poor. The problems were not limited to the bedrooms. The common areas were also dirty and poorly maintained, giving the impression of a neglected property with very poor housekeeping standards. We were in Newquay for close friends’ wedding. We looked for alternative accommodation but nothing suitable was available at short notice. Our choice was either to drive six hours home after the wedding or return to the hotel and leave first thing the next morning. I genuinely dreaded returning there that evening. This is, without question, the filthiest and most unhygienic hotel I have ever stayed in. I have photographs of the conditions described and will be reporting the property to Environmental Health and raising the matter with Expedia.

Do not book this hotel it is disgusting

good location on front but we had no view! only one pillow , dated, very small lift

Poor. Cheap though. Get what you pay for.

First night lights and electric kept going off on TV a lot of banging lift wasn’t working through the whole of the stay when you needed someone I want no one around or they were busy
