I prepaid for this stay via hotels.com. when I arrived at the Students Residence micampus San Mames, there was no reception, only a computer terminal at the front door. I was able to check in here, but the only way I was able to get entrance to the building was to pay for the reservation again. Hotels.com and Students Residence micampus San Mames have been unwilling to refund one of those two charges to me. I ultimately had to pay over $200CAD for a night here.
In terms of the room, it was completely fine. Basic, acceptable. It's the double charge from this property and hotels.com that is causing the poor rating.

Perfectly situated to explore the city, Micampus was clean, friendly and quiet. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and I wish my student halls had been as well appointed as my room in Bilbao.

Nice place. Good facilities with gym and cafe. Minimal amenities provided in rooms as it is a student residence. The digital key fob gave me some trouble.

Keskimääräistä heikompi It is a very BASIC lodging. There are no utensils, plates, glasses, shampoo, soap or toilet paper (beyond one roll). They said they would come to change towels and clean the floors every 5 days, but they never came and I had to request it TWICE. They don’t take the garbage away, the door to the building gets stuck… it is a mess compared to other student residences I have been to. Do not recommend.

Keskimääräistä heikompi The property uses a keyless entry system and they are meant to send you a link before you arrive for the app. I received a number of emails all addressed to the wrong person. I was promised the correct link which never arrived. I arrived at the property after 6 so there is no reception. When someone was eventually contacted they refused to attend but provided the safe combination. There were at least 12 keys in the safe. There were 4 other people with me all of whom couldn't gain access.
Atrocious service. Not what anyone wants. Locked out of your property in a country where you don't speak the language with absolutely no help from the company. Couldn't recommend!
