Would I stay here again? I'd look elsewhere first, but stay again if this was cheap. The lobby here is fresh and fashionable, so first impressions are great, but that stops after the elevators. The rooms are very dated and old fashioned, and not in a "grand" way - they just look like they were decorated by your gran 20 years ago and haven't been touched since. The smell matches too - our room smelled of stale cigarettes, and although the staff were happy to spray something in the room, it didn't remove the smell. The bathrooms are nicer and have the potential to look good with little modernising. The shower was hot and powerful. The aircon in the room is very loud but does very little, even when it's just 25°C outside. The aircon in hallway worked though so we would prop the door open to cool the room down. The USB sockets next to the bed (in the lamp) didn't work, and the ice machine on the floor was broken (which was fixed during our stay). I can't review the breakfast as it isn't included in the room rate. Location is good, but I'd absolutely be looking for somewhere more fresh first. This wasn't grand, just old.

Great stay. Centrally located and lots of great food options near by.

Drove onto property & was immediately helped to valet my car. Front desk was fast & all smiles. Room was beautiful & clean. Restaurant was professional & friendly. They came to recognize my daughter & myself. A shout out to Grace & the staff. We were only there for 3 days, but felt very comfortable. I plan on returning & would definitely recommend this historic hotel to my family & friends.

The view is lovely of the park and of downtown Ottawa. There so much to do in this area. Great stay.
