Puffing Billy -juna & Pingviiniparaati & Koalapuisto & Brighton Beach

Oppaamme Curtis oli erittäin innostunut, ja aluksi saattoi tuntua, että hän puhui paljon. Kuitenkin myöhemmin hän antoi myös aikaa levätä. Koko matka-aikataulu oli riittävä, eikä tuntunut kiireiseltä, vaikka jotkut asiakkaat saattoivat olla hieman myöhässä. Höyryjunakokemus oli erittäin miellyttävä, enkä olisi uskonut, että matka kestäisi lähes 45 minuuttia. Mielestäni useimpia matkamuistoja ei tarvitse ostaa, vaan kannattaa käyttää aikaa valokuvaamiseen ja maisemien katseluun. Kun menimme katsomaan pingviinejä, yllätyin, kun opas huomasi minun olevan hameessa ja kysyi, palelinko. Hän antoi minulle jopa lämpötyynyn. Koska en itse palele helposti, annoin lämpötyynyn heti ystävälleni, joka palelee. Suosittelen ehdottomasti ostamaan luksuspaikat, sillä kun näet pingviinien nousevan maihin ja palaavan takaisin, olet melkein kädenmitan päässä niistä, mikä on todella sen arvoista. Vielä yllättävämpää oli tähtitaivas, ja maisema yhdistettynä pingviineihin oli todella 100 pistettä. Suuret kiitokset tästä kokemuksesta.

Curtis on humoristinen ja luotettava matkaopas. Hän antoi erinomaisia vinkkejä matkaamme Phillip Islandille. Phillip Islandilla ollessamme hän selitti yksityiskohtaisesti parhaat paikat pingviinien katseluun. This tour is fantastic! An exoerience not to be missed. Despite in the rainy winter, the driver Curtis made it all a smooth journey. He even has good quality raincoat that he prepared for all of us! Very thoughtful. Curtis is also very informative and friendly. Thank you!!

I was also really impressed by how fluently he could communicate in both English and Chinese, which helped everyone in our tour group stay on the same page. Our guide and driver, Mr. Rick, was both professional and highly skilled, providing seamless commentary in both English and Mandarin throughout the trip. The highlights were unforgettable: from the unique experience of riding the Puffing Billy steam train with our legs dangling outside, to the colorful beach huts at Brighton Beach. The finale at Phillip Island was truly memorable; despite a sudden heavy downpour during the Penguin Parade, seeing the little penguins return to the beach alongside sightings of wallabies and wild geese against a backdrop of magnificent coastal views made for a perfect day."

It was a wonderful trip, thanks to our excellent guide, Curtis. He provided extensive historical context and valuable tourist information, along with helpful tips throughout the tour. The arrangements were well planned, despite our train being delayed at Puffing Billy. Curtis remained committed and continued to do his best to assist everyone.

He shared many interesting facts and provided helpful tips at each location, which really enhanced the overall experience. Despite the large group, he managed everything efficiently. Thanks to Curtis’s great time management, we were able to visit all the planned locations comfortably without feeling rushed. Pickup and drop-off arrangements were clearly communicated, and he was punctual at every stop. One highlight was our visit to Maru Koala Park, where Curtis showed us how to feed the kangaroos and getting great selfies with them—something we really appreciated. At Philip Island, his advice on where and how to spot the penguins made a big difference, and we had an amazing viewing experience. On the way there, we were also lucky to spot many wild wallabies, which added an extra touch of excitement to the journey. Overall, a very enjoyable and well-organized tour—highly recommended!

Loved the Puffing Billy train experience, we arrived right on time at every destination thanks to the tour guide’s excellent arrangements. It gets very windy at the Nobbies and Brighton beach, so be sure to dress warmly. At the Penguin Parade, try to get a seat at the front if possible. Otherwise, once you spot the penguins at the beach, you can leave the general viewing area and wait on the right side of the path leading back to the centre for a closer view. The tour guide provided detailed explanations throughout, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

This’s the great tour that everyone who plans to travel outside of Melbourne. Even on our day, it rained sometime, but most of time was when we needed to be outside, I still feel it’s great day for me. Our guide, Mr.Curtis, is so nice too. All of his services to us, I’m appreciated with. He explained well both English and Chinese, and he had some ideas to cope with the uncertain weather.
