The ride is incredibly fast and smooth — 300 km/h in just seconds — yet surprisingly quiet and stable. It feels more like gliding than traveling on a train. The process of redeeming the ticket through Klook was easy and straightforward. Everything was clearly explained, and the staff at the station were helpful. This makes it a convenient option for travelers who want a hassle-free experience. While the journey itself is quite short, it’s still worth it for the experience alone. However, keep in mind that the Maglev only connects the airport to Longyang Road Station, so you’ll still need to transfer to the metro or taxi afterward. Overall, it’s a great way to save time, experience advanced technology, and start your Shanghai trip in an exciting way. Highly recommended for anyone who values speed and convenience.

Super easy to pickup. I prob could've used the self serve machines but went to the desk she scanned it and ticket given. Easy. 8min journey instead of 60 min metro. Just be aware it starts at 702am. I landed early at 4am so was a bit of a wait. Could've got metro at 6but longer journey. Free hot and cold water available on the walk to it from arrivals
Redeeming the ticket was quick and easy! The QR code was scanned and I was given a ticket to access the platform. The staff on site was very accommodating. He didn’t mind me taking photos inside the terminal and even pointed out where the train would arrive so I could capture a video. It was a unique, convenient, and a quick way to get to the airport!
상해 갈때마다 빠른 속도와 시간 절약을 위해서 20년전부터 이용했어요. 시속 300km/h 라는 속도를 체감 못할 정도로 편안히 이용했습니다. 가시는 분들 꼬옥 타보세요..강추입니다. 아쉬운 것은 한글 설명이 하나도 없습니다. ㅠㅠ
Quick, smooth and easy way to get to Pudong Airport. Kids under 1.3m don't need a ticket, and no assigned seats so take your pick. Some luggage storage but not much (it's actually much more convenient to forward luggage to the airport). Seats facing both forwards and backwards. McDonald's near the exit point at the airport, then we caught the free shuttle to terminal 2 for our flights.
Riding the Shanghai Maglev Train was an unforgettable and uniquely Shanghai experience. Reaching speeds of over 400 km/h in just minutes, the journey was incredibly smooth, quiet, and exciting — a perfect showcase of China’s advanced technology and innovation. The entire experience was well-organised, with clear signage, efficient boarding, and a comfortable, clean train interior. Watching the speedometer climb so quickly was thrilling, yet the ride felt remarkably stable and effortless. The Maglev is not just a means of transport but an attraction in itself and a fantastic way to travel between Pudong Airport and the city. Highly recommended for first-time visitors and anyone who wants to experience one of the world’s fastest commercial trains — efficient, futuristic, and truly impressive.
