Can I take large luggage on the Shinkansen?
Yes, you can bring large luggage on most Shinkansen trains.
For the Tokaido, Sanyo, and Kyushu Shinkansen, bags measuring 161–250 cm require a reserved seat with an oversized baggage area. Bags over 250 cm are not allowed. For oversized items, consider using a luggage delivery service.
