Fantastic 5.0
Very convenient! Just head straight to the pier next to Swan Bridge and board the orange-red WS ferry listed on the electronic timetable. After boarding and taking your seat, the staff will check tickets one by one. Just let them scan the Klook booking QR code. For the return trip, pay attention to the timetable at the pier; the boarding process is the same!

Fantastic 5.0
driver Pete was an excellent tour guide, experienced and very knowledgeable. the timing at each stop was prefect. He knew his way around and avoided extra walking to get us to the closest distance at each stop.

Fantastic 5.0
The views of Rotterdam are unobstructed, but the outdoor observation deck is very windy, making it difficult to stay for too long. Finally, we went up the Euromast observation deck, which slowly rotates and moves upwards, and the floor can even become transparent. It's a shame the time was too short!

What to know before visiting Rotterdam

Rotterdam’s top things to do through the year

Rotterdam’s most-booked experiences are city tours and museums, with tours leading the list and museums close behind; booking activity builds through spring and peaks in August before tapering toward January. Water activities and observation decks are popular for sightseeing at modest price levels, while zoos & aquariums sit toward the higher end of typical spends.

What different travellers tend to choose here

Families often pick zoos & aquariums and museums for easy, all-ages outings that fit a relaxed city schedule. Couples gravitate toward water activities and observation decks for scenic views and a bit of romance. Solo travellers and small groups commonly choose tours and museums — tours offer structured local insight while museums are an easy, lower-effort way to explore at your own pace.

What travellers should book ahead

What travellers book ahead With most bookings made within a day or two, Rotterdam is a flexible destination where many tickets and activities can be arranged at short notice; the earliest planners still tend to reserve around two to three weeks ahead, and that matters most in August when demand peaks. If you’re travelling in the busiest month, consider booking popular tours and timed-entry museum options in advance.

Comparing categories: price and who they suit

Observation decks are the easiest, lowest-cost way in for scenic city views, while museums sit slightly higher but remain broadly affordable for most visitors. Tours are the priciest on average and show the widest range of options — from budget group walks to premium private guides — making them suitable for travellers who want either value or a more tailored experience. Water activities offer mid-range pricing and appeal to visitors after an active, outdoorsy option, and zoos & aquariums trend toward the upper end, favouring families and those happy to pay a bit more for a curated animal or marine experience.
