Fantastic 5.0
Very fun experience! It was scary because the ice was very slippery upon first step, but I got the hang of it eventually. From this moment I realized how impressive figure skaters are—You can see some kids (and their coaches) practicing in the middle of the rink! I would definitely go back soon! (From the moment I stepped on the ice I realized I cannot be the next Alysa Liu or Amber Glenn but it’s okay it’s fun).

Truly a Fun night with this organized tour! I got to also meet new friends from different countries from our tour group and we had so much fun in all the bars we visited. Jiesel is a fantastic tour guide!

Fantastic 5.0
Overall it was a great experience! The process was smooth and convenient—from booking to receiving the trip details, everything was well-organized. The coordinators were responsive and helpful, making sure we were guided properly from the meet-up point until the island. Transportation was arranged well, and we appreciated the clear instructions given before and during the trip. Fortune Island itself was absolutely beautiful—perfect for relaxing, taking photos, and just enjoying the view. The iconic ruins and the beach made the trip really worth it. Just a tip: make sure to bring enough cash, water, and sun protection since the island can get really hot and there are limited facilities. Overall, we had a fun and memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quick beach getaway! 🌊☀️

What to know before visiting Mandaluyong

Top experiences overview

Mandaluyong’s bookings are led by outdoor & sports activities, followed by cultural experiences, and demand cycles strongly through the year. Interest peaks in August while late-year months see a dip, so expect the busiest moment in August and quieter windows around November.

Activities by traveller type

Families will find outdoor & sports activities the easiest fit — these tend to be low-cost, active options that suit children and groups. Couples often enjoy cultural experiences, which range from affordable to premium and make for more leisurely, intimate outings. Solo travellers and small groups can mix both: outdoor options are the cheapest way in, while cultural experiences offer the widest variety to choose from.

What travellers book ahead

Most visitors remain flexible in Mandaluyong — typical bookings are made about a day out, though the earliest planners often secure things around three days in advance. Booking ahead matters most for travel in August, when demand spikes and popular options get busiest.

Category comparison

Outdoor & sports activities are the entry-level choice here, with the lowest median prices and straightforward options that suit budget-conscious travellers and active groups. Cultural experiences sit above them on price and offer the widest spread of options, from lower-cost tours to more premium, curated activities — they therefore suit couples and anyone looking for a broader range of experiences. Together, the two categories cover both easy, inexpensive ways to get out and more varied, higher-end cultural choices.
