You might have heard of the term, "7th Month" and wondering what it is. It is a direct translation from the Chinese term Qi Yue 七月, which is the Chinese 7th Lunar Month.

7th Month Festival is known by various names. Traditionally, Taoists call it Zhong Yuan Jie 中元节 but to the layman it is just 7th Month Festival. It is also known as the Ghost Festival or Hungry Ghost Festival through various interpretations. 7th Lunar Month is when Singaporean Chinese observe its traditions and beliefs. With it comes food and arts. Come and listen to the tales of the 7th Month Festival in Singapore Chinatown, Singapore and the world of the diaspora of the Chinese.
