Yngwie Malmsteen is one of rock's greatest guitarists of all time When he was barely 20, Yngwie exploded onto the music scene with his technique of lightning-fast harmonic minor scalar riffing. His 1984 album, "Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force," established seemingly overnight the style now referred to a neo-classical melodic rock. A legend in both style and technique, Yngwie's long career reached new heights when his totally classical work for orchestra and solo electric guitar, "Concerto Suite," was released, proving that his classical credentials were genuine. A respected musician among both his peers and his fans, Yngwie continues to play and compose at a level of mastery that many career musicians only dream of.
Former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman's presence in the world of music, the world of guitar, and Japanese pop culture is mystifying, bizarre, and nothing short of inspiring. Friedman first gained attention with the band Cacophony with another legendary guitarist, Jason Becker before he was recruited by Megadeth in 1990. His breathtaking range and unorthodox musical contributions to “Rust In Peace”, “Countdown To Extinction”, “Youthanasia”, and more helped propel Megadeth to its career peak as well as made him an icon of exotic guitar playing. After leaving Megadeth, Friedman relocated to Tokyo where he has become a household name, even beyond the world of music. Since moving to Japan, he’s appeared on over 700 Japanese TV shows of every variety, as well as motion pictures and commercials. He was also recently appointed an Ambassador of Japan Heritage by the Japanese Government. At the same time releasing his solo albums and touring for them with his Japanese band worldwide to a deeply enthusiastic fan base that continues to grow rapidly. 'Tokyo Jukebox 3' is his latest release, the third in this series of albums featuring Marty's unique interpretations of Japanese songs. To date, Marty has over 13 million albums sold, 7 Grammy Nominations, had performed at big music festivals like Summer Sonic and Fuji Rock Festival, Loud Park, and has more than a million followers on his social media accounts.
