Singapore Repertory Theatre: TAHA | Show Information

A tour-de-force performance that captures the life story of poet Taha Muhammad Ali.
Be drawn into Taha Muhammad Ali's resilient narrative, as he creates a tapestry of hope woven through 50 years of loss – a lost home, love, friends, and his shop in Galilee.
Adapted from Adina Hoffman's acclaimed biography, Amer Hlehel crafts a powerful solo performance, intertwining Taha's exquisite poetry with his compelling life odyssey.
Under Amir Nizar Zuabi's direction, TAHA becomes an emotional tapestry, conveying sorrow, humour, resilience, and the tender humanity of this extraordinary artist. Stripped down to a bare stage with only a bench and a yellow square, this one-man show is a testament to the transformative power of theatre, captivating hearts and minds.
