da:ns focus: Impermanence | Dance Information

National Contemporary Ballet makes its Esplanade debut with Impermanence, a new work by Singapore dance veteran Jeffrey Tan.
Choreographed in an unmistakable style that adorns the bedrock of classical ballet technique with the flair of neo-classical expression, Impermanence is a creative reflection on the ever evolving landscape of Singapore. Looking to both the past and future, the piece aims to capture a sense of vibrance and versatility, inspired by the city and its growth.
Impermanence is commissioned by Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay.
This programme is part of da:ns focus – Ballet by the Bay, a ballet lovers’ weekend of classics and neo-classical works. Be inspired by world-class productions and be introduced to new perspectives on this celebrated art form.
