Singapore’s Ding Yi Music Company and Canada’s Sound of Dragon Ensemble (Vancouver) come together again for an extraordinary collaboration that promises an enchanting fusion of Chinese and Western musical traditions, featuring a diverse program by Singaporean, Canadian and Chinese composers, with works such as Jianmin Wang‘s ‘Dream of Angels’, Alice Ho’s ‘Four Dragons’, and Chenwei Wang‘s ‘Winds of Affinity’, a double concerto featuring Ding Yi’s dizi soloist Ng Hsien Han and Sound of Dragon flutist Paolo Bortolussi. Artistic Director of Sound of Dragon ensemble, Lan Tung, will also lead the ensemble as vocalist in performing her piece ‘From the Stars’, bringing to life the magic and mystique of ancient narratives.
“Rising Dragon, Soaring Merlion” brings you on a mesmerising journey through time and history, where audiences can expect a night of exceptional performances that transcend boundaries and celebrate the universal language of music.
鼎艺团再次携手来自加拿大（温哥华）的龙吟沧海乐团，演绎多首来自不同国家的作曲家所创作的作品，包括中国著名作曲家王建民的《天使之梦》、加拿大作曲家何冰颐的《四天龙》，以及新加坡作曲家王辰威的《笛缘》。这首双笛与华乐室内乐版本的《笛缘》将由鼎艺团笛子演奏家黄显行和龙吟沧海乐团长笛演奏家 Paolo Bortolussi 共同呈献，表达了两团之间深厚的情谊与缘分。龙吟沧海乐团艺术总监董篮也将身为演唱带领乐团呈现《星空》，一首展现古老叙事的魔力和神秘的曲子。
