Nonage Gallery is honoured and proud to present its first exhibition dedicated to local artists. Embracing the gallery’s youthful, vibrant and playful perspective, the artists look back on their own childhood and formative years to explore what a Singaporean nonage may be.

Celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of the Singapore art scene, CLASSROOM features six Singapore-based artists: Fyon Cheong, Jays Phua, Karina D. Simon, Keith Teo, Lee Kow Fong, and Vanessa Seah. With widely different styles and perspectives, they come together to reflect the rich diversity of a multicultural society that most of us have first come to experience at school, in our classrooms.

The artworks presented are a diverse array: hyperrealist yet abstracted drawings; idealised, dreamy watercolours; delicate ceramic sculptures; paintings exploring various forms of deconstruction; all works offer insight into the subtle interplay between recollection and inspiration, between memory and creativity.
