Mikkel Stars Chopin | Concert Information

Chopin was barely 20 when he created his 2 glorious piano concertos. When the great Evgeny Kissin stunned the music world at the age of 12 in Moscow with his astonishing performances of the 2 Chopin concertos, nobody could imagine it humanly possible. His art of communication and love of the sheer beauty of the music caused a sensation which reverberated around the world. How exciting it is that we have a chance to experience 10-year-old Mikkel Myer Lee on the grand stage of the Esplanade Concert Hall on 6 June, 2023, playing the same 2 concertos with the Asian Symphony Orchestra conducted by Robert Casteels. Mikkel’s great reverence of music and the sheer joy he exudes in recreating these beloved concertos are truly awe inspiring.
