Victoria Junior College Symphonic Band | Concert Information

Since its formation in 1984, the Victoria Junior College Symphonic Band (VJCSB) has endeavoured to nurture its students' musical proficiency and to develop in them a life-long interest in music. In this spirit, the band has staged numerous public concerts over the years and has participated actively in the Singapore Youth Festival, garnering top awards.

After a three-year hiatus, VJCSB is finally back at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay. Under the baton of music director Adrian Chiang, the band will bring you music from theatrical blockbusters such as West Side Story, How to Train Your Dragon, and a medley of soundtracks from various cult classics by Studio Ghibli. Be enthralled by VJCSB’s performance of The Last Letter from Murdoch, inspired by the letters Lieutenant Murdoch wrote during his voyage on the Titanic and move to the groove with Symphonic Dances: Tango and Queen Medley. This concert will be one to remember.

Bringing the arts to communities in need through Limelight

Half of the ticket proceeds will go toward supporting Esplanade’s community engagement programmes which bring the arts to at-risk youth, the elderly, people with special needs and other underserved communities.
