1. What pattern can you create?
We will provide a few sample designs for you to choose from. Alternatively, you can design your own pattern and our instructors will guide you through the process.
There will be different colours of beads that you can mix and match as well.
2. How big is the art work?
The size of the artwork will range from 300-400 beads and will measure 7cm on each side of the wooden hoop."
3. Can you finish it in 3 hours?
Our goal is to complete the workshop within 3 hours. During the first hour, you will have the opportunity to choose your pattern, design, and colors, while learning the basics of Peranakan bead embroidery and having fun.
Alternatively, you can finish your project at home.
4. What is included in the workshop?
The workshop includes all necessary materials for embroidery (such as beads, needle, etc.), a wooden hoop (which acts as a frame), designs, and a complimentary drink!
5. How is this workshop different from others?
Our focus will be on Peranakan techniques, specifically each bead's sewing, and we will only use Miyuki and Czech beads (2mm).
