Tarana is a bandish followed by a tarana, set to Dhrut Teentaal (a fast-paced rhythm) withinvolves complex bols that enhance the rhythmic musicality of the piece.
Performed in Raag Kaafi
Aaye Khelan Holi is a composition set to taal Dhamaar, where the scene of Holi played by Krishna and the Gopikas is portrayed. Raag Kaafi creates the atmosphere of Shringaar beautifully and paints the scene vividly in front of our eyes.
Chando Chhando Chhaila Mori Baiya tells the story of playful banter between the Naayika and her beloved Krishna. The fast pace and the notes in this raag bring about a very distinct change in mood from the previous sombre piece to create a fun-filled mischievous atmosphere.
Performed in Raag Bhairavi
Karana Mori Laagi is yet another beautiful composition exploring the conversations between the Naayika and her beloved Kanhaa. A different nuance in their romance can be experienced through the beautiful raag Bhairavi.
