Tokyo Blue Trio | The Jazz Loft | Concert Introduction

Progressive jazz rock trio Tokyo Blue was formed by Japanese bass player and composer Hiroaki Maekawa in 2008 to perform and record original compositions. Tokyo Blue has recorded 2 albums, The Naked Soul (2009) and Monochrome Rainbow (2012), and performed in numerous festivals and jazz clubs in the region.

With the newest line-up featuring 2 of the most fierce and creative musicians in the region; Eivind Lodemel (piano) from Norway and Pablo Calzado (drums) from Cuba, the trio continues to belt out their unique compositions and powerful performances.

This show will feature their newest compositions as well as Tokyo Blue classics, which were recorded more than a decade ago.
