Concert Introduction

Following the nationwide acclaim of her 2021 song, The Road Ahead, and international recognition from Billboard and BBC, Singaporean singer-songwriter Linying brings her confessional songwriting to the big stage in a one-night only event at the Esplanade Concert Hall.

The starlet’s debut album There Could Be Wreckage Here was released earlier this year. An authentic and heartfelt approach to love, self-discovery and the human condition, the album features collaborators like Chris Walla of Death Cab For Cutie and was also named one of NPR’s top albums in the week of its release.

Titled There’s Still Time, her performance at the Esplanade Concert Hall features a series of never-before-heard songs, played live for the first time ahead of its release, alongside favourites old and new. Opening the show is Sun Cell, an up-and-coming new-wave synth act, whose nostalgic single Landline was named one of Vans Musicians Wanted Top 20 local submissions.
