What is home? Where is home? A Filipino boy struggles to find his place in Singapore. But even as he begins to fit in and make new friends, his parents plan to move back to the Philippines. Pulled in two ways between his newfound comfort zone with his friends and going back to where he ‘fits in’, the boy begins to question what home should really be, forcing him to make a brave stand before the family falls apart.

After living a boring and mundane life for the last 30 years, an old hawker by the name of Uncle Sim has gradually lost his passion for cooking, and the traditions surrounding his craft. To keep the tradition, and to fulfil a promise he made to his father, Uncle Sim must find a worthy successor. The arrival of a willing young apprentice offers hope, but also brings along conflict. The apprentice, Benjamin, has his own ideas of what constitutes ‘tradition’. Can what is steeped in history and the practice of yesterday ever find compromise with the youthful ideas of today?

15-year-old Ah Moy lives in a Kampung with her sister and unemployed father. To support her family, Ah Moy works as a babysitter in a British House. While working, she finds out that her sister is going to be sold away due to their family’s poverty. She tries every means to keep her sister from being sold and attempts to persuade her to leave Singapore. Then, a fire breaks out at Bukit Ho Swee leaving both sisters caught in the fire together. Will they survive?

About Temasek Polytechnic School of Design
At Temasek Polytechnic’s School of Design, emotional storytelling is in the DNA of every student film. Each film strives to bring the audience on an emotional journey that tugs at the heartstrings in a quiet celebration of hope in humanity. Along with quality storytelling, the school puts a great emphasis on teamwork. The success of each film is a summation of all the contributions of every member in the filmmaking team.

With the simplification of COVID-19 measures, safe distancing is no longer required between masked audiences. As such, there may be other patrons seated next to and around you. No tickets will be issued. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
All patrons (except for children aged 12 and below) need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Full vaccination refers to:
- having received the appropriate regimen of World Health Organisation Emergency Use Listing (WHO EUL) vaccines including their respective duration post-vaccination for the vaccine to be fully effective, and had their vaccination records ingested in MOH’s national IT systems

All patrons are required to do SafeEntry check-in at the venue via the TraceTogether app or token only. Other modes of SafeEntry check-in will not be accepted.
