Check in really late at 4pm and check out 11am and not flexible. It’s very central however all windows are covered no daylight access - wish there was net curtains at least - once you move solid curtains there is privacy

Room was very clean, albeit it on the smaller side. Nice big bathtub - no shower which made showering a bit hard. Breakfast was delicious and location was good. Some noise from the trains passing by.

Compact but cosy, clean and well appointed rooms in a cool and accessible part of Bordeaux. Great to have access to the rooftop pool and bar.

We had one of the smaller rooms. Very basic, bunk beds, strange design. Lighting controls not intuitive, even with English instructions. Good location adjacent to Atelier de Citernes food hall with numerous vendors. Walk to Gare St Jean in 10 minutes or less.

Tonight I stayed at JOST Hôtel Bordeaux Centre Gare Saint Jean in Bordeaux, which cost £80 per night. Everything seemed fine when I first arrived, but I was extremely disappointed once I checked into the room. The room design felt like a small box — very cramped and stuffy. One thing that really surprised me was that the sink was placed right next to the bed, which made the space feel more like a compact cabin than a comfortable hotel room. The bathroom had a transparent glass door, which meant there was almost no privacy. This design might be suitable for young couples who are comfortable with that setup, but it’s not ideal if you are travelling with friends or simply prefer more privacy. There was also no place to hang clothes in the bathroom. After showering, you either have to leave your clothes on the sink outside the bathroom or on the bed. That means you may have to step out of the shower and walk outside to get dressed, which felt quite awkward. Overall, the layout and practicality of the room did not work well for me. Unfortunately, this is not a hotel I would choose to stay at again. One positive surprise was the breakfast the next morning. It was actually very good, with a nice selection and much better than I expected. Eco concept and library design

The room was clean and beds were comfy, had good sleep. The room we selected w
