Shigira resort is set along the coastline and there is a free shuttle to and from the airport and between different hotels and restaurants within the resort.
A car is needed to explore other parts of Miyako as public transport is non existent but there are beaches and a golf course within the resort.
Organised tours offer pick up from the hotel.

水周りの清掃が 非常に良くないと感じました キッチンや洗面やバスルームの落ち口は ヌメリが掃除されておらず 排水が詰まり大変困りました 臭いの原因にもなりご配慮下さいませ
駐車場スペースが少なく 雨が強く降ったりで 舗装されていない場所では歩き辛い思いをしました

We arrived at the hotel with great excitement because we had made a reservation through Expedia, and the photos showed a beautiful room, a nice pool, and a well-maintained building. Unfortunately, the reality was completely different.
The building is in deplorable condition, with very dirty windows throughout the lobby, which creates a terrible first impression. On top of that, we waited 30 minutes at reception before anyone showed up to check us in.
The elevator carpets are the dirtiest I’ve ever seen, and the pool is not on-site — you have to walk 700 meters to another hotel under unbearable heat and humidity.
To be fair, the staff was kind, but based on our experience, we wouldn’t return.

조금 덥고 따뜻한물이 잘 나오지않는것 제외하고는 모든것이 쾌적했습니다. 어매니티도 잘 구성되어있고 주차장이나 방 크기 모두 넓고 좋았습니다. 깔끔하고 무난하게 만족하는 방 입니다.

Accomodation was very affordable, great location for restaurants and swimming spots, the staff were helpful. The hotel does not have a pool but you have access to the pool of nearby hotels. Room layout was a little different with a top level that didn’t provide much use. We did enjoy the tatami sleeping. A few things that would really improve the accommodation: fly screens for the balcony. It was such a shame that we couldn’t have the doors open, especially when the climate outside was so pleasant. It would have been nice to hear the ocean at night, instead we had the doors shut and the aircon on. And bigger cups!! The hotel was not able to provide bigger cups for us, and the ones in the room wouldn’t have held more than 150ml.
