Salamanca Wharf Hotel

We have spent a weekend during the Dark Mofo Festival which was very convenient because the location. The hotel deliveries everything we were expecting!

Ok property in a good location but a very weird smell in the floor foyer.

This hotel lets you down in service with reception closing at 5pm, if you arrive after this you a left standing in an ally way talking to an intercom and although already filling out the online checkin you have to give your credit card details again. Thankfully it wasnt raining at the time i was doing this but if it was you would be out in the elements. Once on my room level the lights werent on and the halfway smelt of greasy fish. The on site parking is only available if you check in between 9-5 and is only for small cars so you then have to pay for street parking, this is not clear at the time of booking the hotel.

The room and amenties within perfect. But you get what you pay for but this was exceptional.

The hotel is ultra modern with a full kitchen capability for two people - microwave oven, cook top, dishwasher and reasonable sized fridge. The bathroom was slick but more visual than practical. It would have the lowest toilet I have seen in Australia and as with all shower designers who don't want doors, water splashes onto the bathroom floor. The location is excellent in the Salamaca area. Check in was remote as the desk was not manned when we arrived at 4.30 and also not when we left at 8 am. However, I was provided with instructions that were clear and easy to follow, so in itself not an issue. I parked in the street outside the hotel - lucky to get a spot perhaps. It was indicated by the hotel that parking there was free from 4 pm until 10 am, but the actual paid parking time was 6 pm.

Amazing staff, very clean, close to an amazing Japanese restaurant, easy to navigate Hobart Salamanca area.

The rooms were clean and well equipped and perfectly positioned in salamanca wharf.

Room is clean comfortable and modern with all amenities Bathroom with heater is lovely in colder weather Perfect location

Lovely hotel close to wharf and shops. Staff are lovely and the room had everything we needed
