Excellent hotel. The staff was extremely helpful, as expected in a quality Japanese hotel. Even some of our unique requests were handled perfectly. The breakfast had both Japanese and western options; whatever you wanted, it was there. And most people spoke about how good quality it was.
The room was great. Robes, slippers, beautiful pyjamas. Massive bathtub and excellent hot shower.
Finally the location was excellent. A few minutes walk to higashiyama train station, a few more to sanjo station. The entire gion area is a few minutes walk, with all of the parks and temples and everything beautiful.
Very highly recommended. I would go again.
