Stunning hotel and loved the rooftop bar. I went up to do some work in the morning (still on East Coast time), and it was peacefully quiet. I got to enjoy the stunning view of The Eastern and watch the sunrise. By lunchtime, the roof was buzzing with people and had a completely different vibe. Both experiences were well worth it.
The staff was particularly lovely, and I could easily walk to many great coffee shops, museums, and eateries--and don't skip Santee Alley! I know downtown gets a bad rap, but this is a real gem that reflects much of Los Angeles's history, Art Deco design, and golden colors.
