What I liked about this hotel was the central location and friendly staff. What I didn’t like was the design of the rooms and some noise. Who puts tinted mirrors in a hotel room? Oh so cool, and yet, the lighting and mirror situation were so bad you simply had to guess (or use your own mirror) if applying makeup. The sink and mirror were outside the bathroom which was odd but manageable. Noise from the bar one of the nights was also a problem.

Staff at front desk was extremely helpful in pointing out what to see and do, where to eat and drink. And the rooftop bar/restaurant was a great place for dinner.

Loved this hotel - lovely staff, fabulous property, great location, and large, modern rooms for a good value. This was my first time in Ghent and I loved it. Would highly recommend Yalo and will certainly stay again on my next trip to Ghent.

Estupendo
Good selection of food at breakfast but chipped plates and broken coffee machine was not good. Food selection in bar was limited. Room itself was style over substance with poor layout limited storage. 5th floor room was very noisy when roof top bar open. From check in to check out and in between the staff were very friendly helpful and efficient.
