Absolutely the worst hotel experience we have ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff were rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. We checked in late at night after a long day of travel, and the receptionist acted annoyed that we were even there. He gave us the key with no explanation and sent us to a room with completely broken AC. The room was unbearably hot, smelled terrible, and felt dirty and poorly maintained.
We immediately informed reception, but we were ignored for a long time until my husband had to go downstairs again for help. When the receptionist finally came upstairs, he pretended the AC worked and then unbelievably accused us of breaking it even though we had just entered the room. Instead of apologizing or fixing the issue, he laughed and mocked us. It became obvious the hotel had intentionally turned off the AC system to save money. They promised it would be repaired the next day, but nothing was ever fixed.
The next day, another receptionist aggressively argued with us in front of other guests because nobody had told us we were supposed to leave the room key at reception. The staff constantly laughed at us, gave us attitude, and repeatedly threatened us with an $80 fee if the key was lost. They also demanded an extra $40 “tourist tax” in cash without giving any receipt, which felt extremely shady.
The hotel smelled awful, breakfast was low quality, and the entire atmosphere felt hostile and uncomfortable.
