The view for this hotel was great. You are able to view the fireworks from lake Toya from your room if you are facing the lake. Of course it is from a distance but if you can enjoy it in the comfort of your room and also you do not have to drive in the dark. The distance from the bottom of the road to the hotel does not have lamp post so it can be really dark if you come back at night. During check in, the staff did not explain that we need to bring down our towels to get new ones as there are no housekeeping. Housekeeping is only 3 days once. So we we also surprise that the rubbish was not clean in our room. And there did not explain how we can clear the rubbish in our room. A bit disappointing with their service.

Modern Westernized Hotel with a fantastic view of Lake Toya and wonderful staff. A 25 minute drive to Rutsusu ski area. Lovely soaking jacuzzi tub with views of the lake. We will definitely stay here again to ski Rutsusu.

Clean rooms, friendly staff. Needs an elevator! Especially with tho who have a lot of suite cases and snow gear.

We had a wonderful room at Hotel Cocoa - it was really spacious and had an incredible view overlooking Lake Toya. Although the hotel was having some renovation work done, this didn't affect us in any way and the stay was peaceful and quiet. It was fantastic to wake up and be able to see the whole of the lake - it was an instant weather forecast! There was a jacuzzi bath in the room too which was lovely after a day sightseeing. There is not a daily cleaning service but you do get clean towels every day and can ask for anything else that you need. Parking was right outside the hotel entrance. The location is fantastic but you do need a car to really benefit from staying here as it is a ten minute drive into town.
