When we checked in, the guys gave us the key and asked ask to wait because he didn't know that the room was ready. We waited one and a half hour in the lobby with out entire luggage, after I went and asked him how much longer and he said "oh, your room has been ready, I gave you the key". I didn't argue with him because at this point it was not wroth it, but this I hope that you see that this was incredibly rude. No, it was not obvious that if you give me the key that it is a sign that the room is ready. i've been to many hotels in different countries and this is not how things work. Also, if this is the case in your hotel, why did he ask to wait when he gave us the key? or, he saw us there for the entire hour and a half and didn't say a word. What did he think we were doing? I am fluent in both ingles and Spanish (Nicaraguan born) so no, he didn't have the excuse that there was a language barrier. Please teach your front desk, kindness and better manners.
