We stayed for one night. Very pleasantly surprised at the facilities on offer. Room was brilliant and breakfast was very good. Would stay again.

Beautiful hotel. The hotel was clean but needed to be refurbished. Bed was not made properly. TV small, and sits on a table. Air condition did not work. Bathroom very old fashiond need updating. Carpet old. No fridge in room. Our first night we did not sleep well due to noise. Restaurant staff need more training. Did not enjoy Breakfast on the first morning, very slow topping up. Hot drink machine needed upgrading. Bottle water was provided daily. Good quality bread. Breakfast was good on the second morning.

Friendly staff at check in. Given a piece of paper per room for times of pool etc … does this change frequently? not very environmentally friendly to print it out each time for each room. Went to use pool and sauna etc to hear one of the staff moaning that a child had poo’ed in the children’s pool and it was now out of action and on top of that the steam room had packed up and no staff. We did use the adult pools and sauna which were fine. We did not eat at the hotel but came back for drinks. I’m glad we didn’t eat as I over heard other guests complaining about their food and the orders leaving one man to wait and eat alone. We were waiting at the bar for a long time to get served our drinks. We sat outside and as it got darker the many lights strung up did not come on. The actual layout and areas available within the hotel were good but the signage could have been a lot better. The rooms were good but heavy duvets for this time of year regardless of the heat wave. There was a kettle with tea coffee etc but no fridge which was a disappointment. Breakfast … not what I expected at all. Not enough staff or attention to detail. Various fruit juices none of which were labelled the orange juice was easy to spot but unsure what the others were. The water was empty and never filled up. There was a lot of mess that wasn’t cleared up, poor choice of coffee from the machines and no where to put teabags etc. I’m not sure how this is a four star hotel our trip was a let down

Excellent check in with friendly staff. The room was mostly clean just a little unclean under the sink in the bathroom on the tiles in room 109. The bathroom flooded when using the shower and this was not just me as the wood on the bottom of the door was expended so suggests is a normal practice. The bathroom also had a wire attached to the radiator above the bath that did not look well covered. So no issues with the room but bathroom needs some love overall. Great facilities - we used the sauna and pool but we could have played tennis if staying longer. Overall 4/5 stars for me.

Clean room, good selection at breakfast and leisure facilities are good.

I am surprised at a hotel of this size and calibre doesn’t offer a secure Wi-Fi for guests. No fridges in the room. Room was clean and comfortable, bed exceptionally comfortable, the duvets were very good but made for rather a warm night, even with the window open. Having a window that opened was another plus point, so many hotels serve you up with windows that cannot be open so rooms are stuffy. Staff were excellent.

Healthy Breakfast/ Continental selection is basic or poor;

I’ve stayed here 3 times before. The staff are excellent everytime. For some reason everytime I come I get the loudest rooms looking onto walls or roofs, whereas people I’m travelling with get balconies & views onto the courtyard. On this particular stay my room was next to a huge machine that was left on all night. It was incredibly loud & was hard to fall asleep. (To be fair I didn’t mention this to them at the time as it was 11pm & I had an early wake up the next day, so i’m unsure if they could have moved me or not.) On previous stays I’ve woken up at 7.30am to the noise of pickleball being played loudly in the sports hall. This last stay would potentially put me off coming back. It wasn’t a one off so I don’t think I’d want to take the risk again.

Tidy, clean good gym and bar area.
