They don't have toilet paper, soap, or an iron; I had to go buy everything just so I could shower.

room was filthy, food and dog food on floor, carpet in room was black because of dirt. A/C filters were checked, and they were so filthy they were black, due to lung issues we had to clean them in the bathroom sink. pool was cloudy and cold. we were on the first floor, there was no screen in the window and the window did not lock. DO NOT STAY HERE you will regret it.

Staff at check in was impatient while I read the paperwork I was signing. Not impressed with having to schlep our luggage with our dog up stairs to our room on the second floor. Was told by staff that if motel didn't have 3 floors it didn't have to have an elevator. Building definitely doesn't look like the pictures! Current pictures would show rooms and building in serious need of repairs. Broken light fixtures, loose wall outlets with out covers. Questionable oder about the place too. Will Not be booking a room at this place again. Actually may not stay at any Baymont after this trip. EVER.

Baymont Inn and Suites, North Des Moines, Iowa. Check In 3/28/2026 Check Out 4/02/2026 Paid in full in advance through Expedia Disabled room, bottom floor. Arrived to motel around 11:00pm, there were 2 guests in line ahead of us. I greeted the lady “Hi! How’s your evening?” She said “Well, I’m the manager, and I’m here at 11, so you figure it out..” Tone was frustrated and grumpy. She said the person that had my room before us was still in it, and the building was fully occupied, but she had a room for us in building B.. So my wife and I were led to the other building. My wife and I are seniors, she’s diabetic, I’m disabled- I have Cerebral Palsy, and I walk with difficulty with a cane and holding my wife’s hand.. then we’re told it’s on the 2nd floor. Thank goodness another guest carried our bag up the stairs for us! I had to hobble upstairs using my cane, my wife, and the railing, and had to rest half way up. We get in the room,(building B, room 265), and the first thing we notice is, the picture on the wall, hanging at a 45 degree angle. Then, it’s not a disabled room- I can’t use the bathtub. There’s no soap, shampoo, conditioner.. The room is cold.. there’s only a sheet on the bed. No blanket. No coffee pot. The tv doesn’t work. The fridge doesn’t work. The microwave doesn’t work. We go to bed wearing our coats to stay warm. We’re told later that our correct disabled room will become available at noon tomorrow.. Lots more, but I reached your max…

My room had roaches climbing the walls. Supposedly smoke-free room reeked of cigs. Everything was grungy and poorly-maintained. Rather sleep in my truck, which is what I ended up doing. This place needs to be renovated fully

Mold on ceiling. Dry blood on the wall. No soap or anyhting in the room. Breakfast was a little table with bagels and cream cheese from walmart

This place is disgusting. It’s not maintained, it stinks, and the whole vibe is incredibly creepy. I couldn’t stay past check in. I had paid ahead of time and checked in, but couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Keep my money- I’m out. What a horrible reflection on the Baymont name.

This hotel experience was absolutely garbage. We checked in fairly fast but the issues started right as I walked in. Someone had a dog barking in a room (Not hotels fault but still annoying to hear any time we left our room. First room we were put in had not been cleaned finding hair and fluids on the beds and bathrooms. The hallway outside the room was covered in crumbs and had trash about. The hotel staff then moved us to another room the beds were at least clean in this one. But still needed to have the bathroom cleaned. The mini fridge was disgusting and we found cockroches and ants in the room. They also advertised a pool however apparently the pool wasn't open to guest or was closed for some reason but we were not informed until we tried to use them. They also offered a breakfast but apparently the staff didn't come in so the front door person put out some yogurt and that was about it. I would rate them lower if I could.

They didn't have anything out for their continental breakfast and their reasoning was their breakfast person didn't show up, the coffee maker in the room was missing pieces, there is no hair conditioner, and as we were sitting there a cockroach ran acrossed the TV Armoire. I would suggest finding another hotel as I will never stay there again

This was one of the most derelict, dirty hotels I've ever entered. We checked into our room despite the tarp on the roof, rotting exterior and filthy lobby. Our room, if possible was worse. Carpets have not been vacuumed in months/years, hallways reeked of pot or fried foods. Rivers of god knows what running down the walls. Every piece of furniture was covered in splatters and stains. The curtain was cut in half and hanging by threads, holes punched in the wall, mirror seriously cracked, windows so filthy you could hardly see out them, dirty linens, bathroom smelled of urine. After securing a different hotel for the weekend we checked out the same day. Still trying to get refund for this place. The hotel doesn't answer their phone. Probably due to the sign on the front counter stating "They've stepped away for a moment, please call one of two numbers." Likely out back smoking.
