Excellent location!

Our second stay in this hotel. Convenient, excellent staff, excellent food, nice facilities right in the heart of Mexico.

Wonderful experience from start to finish! Christian welcomed us warmly, and the staff does their best to make you feel like esteemed guests from the moment that you walk in. The location of the hotel is extremely central to the historic district - very close to a metro station and just outside the Zocalo plaza. The staff does their best to add unique and personal touches to your stay, including a cold scented towel upon your arrival. There is a 24/7 cafe where you can dine at your leisure without additional costs, and the included breakfast each morning was wonderful with a great view of the cathedral and city. The room itself was very comfortable, with great quality linens and pillows. Hotel Zocalo Central was a great place to stay for our Mexico City trip!

Unique location in the middle of the Zócalo Plaza! The concierge service was top notch - knowledgeable and helpful as this was our very first time in Mexico City. They were extremely patient with our requests and available in person from the early morning to the late evening, as well as on WhatsApp messaging. ALL staff treated us with such kindness and were welcoming from the moment we set foot until our departure. I was extremely happy with our decision to include the daily breakfast when choosing amongst the hotels in the area. It was fresh daily and included coffees/teas, fresh juices, various pastries, fresh fruits, yogurt, granola/nut toppings, as well as hot breakfast buffet and made to order entries - the city view from the restaurant added to the ambience. I cannot describe the quality of service we received upon entering up until check out time. There is a “Central Cafe” located in the first floor lobby that has a coffee bar, sandwiches/snacks, and delicious lunch entrees, sodas, water bottles, and even beer on draft (1 light & 1 dark) that you can simply ask and it comes included with your stay!! The room was cleaned DAILY, sheets were changed, towels replaced, etc… They staff was extremely responsive to my request for extra towels on the first day. Overall, I recommend if you are coming and wish to stay in the central area of the city. The Metropolitan Cathedral is across the street and the we had an entire view of the plaza from our window.

Zocalo Central Hotel is super close to the city square and many, many restaurants, including its own on the terrace which is also very nice, as well as the metro station next to the People’s Palace. The terrace provides an unobstructed view of the entire square and during the FIFA one can actually look down at the screen on the street level for the games. The hotel is well maintained and has plenty of amenities. I especially enjoy the convenience of the 24-hr bar, where you can order a glass of draft beer or if you are on the run, getting a panini sandwich and a drink (coffee, water or juice) can be very fast and easy. The frontdesk staff were courteous and helpful and everybody in the hotel was very nice. The only minor complaint I have was that the AC unit in my room seems to lack temperature control - when on cool, it would keep cooling and did not stop at the set temperature. So the first night my room reached 15 degree C. Because we were mostly outside, it wasn’t much an issue but I forgot to tell the staff. Another slight inconvenience is that the fitness room cannot be directly accessed without the help from the front desk. But I understand their security concerns so I wouldn’t mind asking.

The hotel was excellent. My only complaint is that it does not have a fridge or a microwave. Other than that the personnel and staff were excellent. City center can be busy and may be loud.

Friendly, kind, and helpful staff. Good sense of humor and very attentive. Breakfast was delicious. Twice the wait staff was a bit slow, however, very kind, apologetic and quick once their attention was called. The whole place was very clean. The Catedral room was amazing!

We loved our stay here! Located right next to El Zocalo in the heart of the centro histórico. The amenities were amazing as well!
