I gave 4 stars because everyone was really nice, but the property itself is a little deceiving. (Not deceptive, I am not trying to indicate malice.) But for American travelers in particular, it's worth noting that this is really a campground. When you pull in the property, there are RVs situated & plugged in & the lodges themselves are in need of a little updating.
The main building is convenient & the staff there could NOT have been more helpful. Everyone super nice. Our travel plans got a little hung up & they were great working with me on late check in & making sure we got situated.
But the lodge was a little smaller than expected & a little outdated. In the end, the stay ended up being fine - we opted for 2br with bunkbeds - and everyone had sleeping space. (Family of 4.) But it is definitely more cramped than the pictures indicate, so just beware the space is tight & the bathroom was really small, even by European standards. Our shower was in need of a little update & we did run out of hot water one day.
My main "complaint," if I had one, is that it's sort of billed as a place where you can get exposed to a little nature. Now, it does back up to a beautiful mountain. We enjoyed that. But the property is basically in a mixed use area, not exactly rural. So there is tons of light & high occupancy, meaning you really need to get away from that area to have any sort of views.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Other folks there very nice, too, & convenient for tours etc.
