Unfortunately, my experience at the Grand Sierra Resort was disappointing due to several customer service issues.
The front desk staff was very rude. Upon checking in, I introduced myself and said that I was there to check in. Instead of offering a greeting or welcome, the employee abruptly responded, “I can’t do anything without your driver’s license and a credit card.” There was no hello or acknowledgment, which immediately made the interaction feel unfriendly and unprofessional.
I had another unpleasant interaction at the pool. As the pool was closing, I was gathering my children’s belongings and preparing to leave when a security employee approached me and said, “What’s going on? I need you to leave. The pool is closed.” I completely understood that the pool was closing, but the manner in which I was spoken to was unnecessarily rude.
The service in the casino was also disappointing. I gambled for more than two hours and was never once offered a drink. I eventually approached a server myself, only to be told that I was not in her section.
Lastly, my room was never cleaned despite being empty for most of the day. I eventually had to call housekeeping, and rather than servicing the room, they simply brought me some fresh towels.
Overall, I was very disappointed by the level of customer service throughout my stay. For a resort of this caliber, I expected a much more welcoming and professional experience
