Comfort Hotel Vancouver Airport

I had a quick 11 hour layover so I just chose a hotel near the airport that had a free shuttle…. Well, the shuttle driver barely answered any questions that people were asking. It stopped at two hotels, and everyone was confused (as it was dark outside) which hotel we were at. I turned on my phone with location and then it showed the hotel. It was extremely frustrating. Once I got to the hotel, I was given a room on the first floor. As a single woman traveling alone, this is a huge red flag. The window was unlocked and it opened right to a sidewalk on the street. Needless to say, I checked all over that room to see if anyone was already in there. I barely slept as I was absolutely petrified. Someone was going to come in through the window. I probably should have gone back to the front desk and ask for a different room… but I was just so tired and wanted to sleep (which I couldn’t ). Safety wise : please don’t place women on the first floor, especially when they face a sidewalk and a street.

Had a shuttle to the airport for no additional cost.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The receptionist lady was so kind and friendly which made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, comfortable and a good size. While the breakfast wasn't my favorite because there weren't many options and it upset my stomach, it wasn't a major issue. Overall, I had a great experience, would stay here again and would happily recommend it to others. Also, close to a lot of places including the train station🙂

The positive aspects were friendly staff, convenient shuttle, comfortable bed, clean renewed bathroom, and reasonably close to skytrain station. The negative aspects were the carpet in the room had such significant stains we asked for a different room but there was no alternative so they cleaned the worst of the stains but the carpet was still grossly soiled. The building is old and shows its age, we had trouble getting our room door to open every time we tried to enter. The elevator and halls are dark and dreary. The breakfast was the same all week we were there with cold sausages and cold egg rounds, and they were constantly running out of bowls for cereal, mugs for the coffee, and glasses for the juice. Our room was supposedly a “business” upgrade but had no desk chair in the room and the only seating was two armless hard chairs and there was no side table. This is probably a case of you get what you pay for because the rate is the best in the area. So if price, a clean comfortable bed and bathroom are enough then this would work, for us, it did not meet our expectations based on the property description.

The staff were helpful and courteous.

I expected little more quality for what I paid one night. Also don't recommend 1st floor as it was noisy. We heard people talking in the hallways by 4am and we could not go back to sleep. Room needs renovation. Bathroom was clean and decent size. Bed was not comfortable. Also waiting for shuttle service from the airport to the hotel took almost 1 hour. I had to call 4 times to see what's going on. I will not be coming back here.

Not worth the price. Breakfast was terrible and someone was yelling in the lobby at 4:45 in the morning 🙄
