Front desk staff lacks understanding and empathy. The room that I expect to have a window does not have one and no other room was available. He then told me to either cancel my reservation (which is non-refundable) or pay for upgrade. He is not even a supervisor or manager. He is the only staff in the hotel and he refused to listen to any reasoning. Since I am not from there and I was not feeling good, I had no choice but to pay for an upgrade. The upgraded room was not even that good. Will not book this hotel in the future.

House keeping needs to improve. There were ants all around the room . Finally I found it was for the sugar sachets . This was on the last date.

We got a room that smelled of glue and paint. The reception Eric then got us another room which was bigger. Excellent service. I want to thank Eric personally. Keep up the good work.

The service desk was mostly unmanned, had to keep phoning the mobile number provided at the lobby for service. Cleanliness was so-so, they only cleaned places that is very prominent and the rest was just dusty. Dusts were on the hangers and even on the toiletries in the room. I guess the room was left unused for quite some time. There were renovation works going on nearby so it was kind of noisy and the rooms were not soundproof, could hear clearly the next door talking on her phone.
Was attracted to stay as I saw that the toiletries they provided were from l'occitane and thought it would be a quality stay. But they cut on providing body lotion and handsoap which was clearly shown in their pictures that it will be provided. Especially during this Covid period, I thought handsoap is very crucial since sanitiser was not provided inside the room.
Good thing is, there were many cafes around the hotel which you can explore if you liked cafe hopping.
