This is on a busy road that at first glance can seem to be small, non remarkable and somewhat isolated. However, a magical experience awaits inside. You walk to the back of this magnificent property and it opens up like an oasis in the desert. It is truly awesome. A winding 100 meter glorious swimming pool with a series of bridges crossing it (one of 2 pools). The huge property (some 900 rooms) is a quiet 'sanctuary'. It comes with bar, restaurant, tennis court and huge picnic areas. The staff were wonderful, happy and ever helpful. We were concerned about it being an isolated location but $5 - 10 AUD gets you anywhere you need to go in a Bluebird Taxi. By the way this taxi service uses a meter and the taxis are clean with excellent drivers. We cannot speak more highly of the Cakra Hotel. Rooms air conditioned and great. love it, love it, love it !!
