Jolly Beach Antigua - All-inclusive

I was disappointed with my stay at Jolly Beach Resort. I booked with Experian. The hotel was falsely advertised, as the actual conditions didn't match the pictures we saw when booking. The rooms were much smaller than expected, and there was no refrigerator available. Additionally, the staff was short-handed, and we experienced power outages—the lights went out at 3:40 AM and didn't come back on for over 16 hours despite requesting a room change. While the beach itself is beautiful and has some helpful staff, overall, my experience did not meet expectations. I hope they improve their facilities and service to better serve future guests.

** WARNING BEFORE BOOKING** ⭐️⭐️ Unfortunately, this resort was nothing like the photos or description on Expedia. The rooms were very outdated, had a musty/humid smell and our TV, Wi-Fi, and AC did not work properly. We were also without power for 16 hours and had to make a fuss before management finally stepped in to help. Our room was never cleaned during our 4-day stay and we were told rooms are only cleaned on the 4th day. We had to use the same towels without replacements. The bathrooms were outdated and had bugs. There are no refrigerators in the rooms, no elevators and the safes use keys instead of keypads. Food options were very limited, drinks weren’t great and dietary needs were not well accommodated. The resort also had very little entertainment and several areas became extremely wet and slippery after rain without proper precautions or warning signs. Some staff were friendly and helpful, while others were rude and unwelcoming. The pool was not in great condition, although the waterfall was nice. The ONLY highlight was the absolutely beautiful beach. However, don’t expect anything grand from the resort itself. We were told by locals that it had recently reopened after renovations, but we honestly did not see much evidence of renovations. Overall, this was one of the worst resort experiences we’ve had and I would recommend doing thorough research before booking.

The staff, including Ms. Paulette, were wonderful. Very accommodating and courteous. Beaches are beautiful. Good stay for the price.

I enjoyed my stay at Jolly Beach Hotel, but the hotel is due for maintenance overhaul. The staff, food, location and amenities were all excellent. I will re-visit the hotel in a few years or after they have repaired some of the deficiencies.

The only nice thing in the property was the food . The rooms needs serious upgrade .

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was plentiful and delicious with a variety of choices. The property could use an elevator.

Access to the beach

DO NOT STAY! I repeat DO NOT STAY HERE. For US$300 per night this property does not even meet 1 Star. All Inclusive - you cannot even get a bottle of water in your room or for you room. The staff directs you to a supermarket nearby or at best you can grab a glass at the coffee shop. Bathroom - this could not be for an adult as it is absolutely tiny, untidy, had the smell of urine which means it was not well cleaned for our arrival, concrete amenities, the bed takes up the entire room, the floor was sticky and a bit gross. Bathroom cupboard was Food - below par for any hotel.

The room was clean but no chairs in the king bedroom. No WiFi service for our entire stay in the room. We had to hang out continuously in the lobby so as not to miss any outside calls. TV was also not clear, had lots of static
