What a gem in this magical city. We loved where it was located a walk to all the heart (cathedral and restaurants etc) but during the day when it’s so over run with tourists you’re not in the center of it. The beds were fabulous! Best sleep of the trip. The best part was the staff and breakfast. The staff was so accommodating and friendly. They didn’t even shame me when I had 3 cappuccinos at breakfast (they’re small!) Loved this place!

The room was very clean. The staff was excellent. They were so helpful, telling us where in the city we should go and what would be the best use of our time. They were also just very kind and welcoming, and made us feel at home.

Second visit to Matera and stayed at le Origini again as their customer service is outstanding.

The staff were lovely and accommodating. Breakfast was fantastic. The place felt new and modern and had a great view. We enjoyed our stay.

Outstanding position and views of the Sassi. Staff were excellent and most helpful. Breakfast could have been a little bit better with more fruit choices.

This was a prime location in Matera. The view from my room was fantastic and I stepped out the door right into the historic part of the town. It was a lovely room with a very comfortable bed, the bathroom was perfect and the breakfast was the best I had my entire trip. I have not a single complaint. On top of that, the hosts were very helpful when I ran into some problems on the way there and was very late for check in. In fact, they upgraded my room, which was a very pleasant surprise. I would absolutely stay here again if in Matera. I loved the town and I loved the B&B!

We went and stayed for one night at Le Origini on our honeymoon! We had booked the junior suite and arrived in afternoon. We checked in and shortly discovered the tap on the jacuzzi was leaking badly and water pouring unto the floor. We explained this to the lady and she agreed it wasn't acceptable and offered we move across to the suite deluxe. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The mini whirlpool was very relaxing. Double bed very comfortable to sleep on. Room had some snacks/drinks in fridge. Breakfast was a help yourself buffet. A huge variety of food. Great selection. Matera very interesting. It is very old and beautiful to see carving from the rock. Lots of modern shops also. We were pleased with our one night stay. A special night! Thank you.
