The externals of the hotel were exquisite. The old-school look and feel couldn’t have been better. The bar and restaurant were very, very cute and looked fun.
The room however was a disappointment. It felt more like my friend’s old homes in LA than a luxury hotel. The decorative pillow on the chair was dirty, tattered and worn. The rug was disgustingly dirty; I’m not sure it has ever been cleaned. There was no shower door so water got everywhere. Toilet paper was thin. No makeup mirror. View was of the building next door and storage containers with a tiny sliver of beach. No coffee machine and very minimal decor in the room. We were near the elevator and you could hear the elevator door…every time it opened.
The staff however were the absolute best although minimal.
