The facility was nice, staff we friendly an attentive. What ruined the overall stay we the unfortunate placement of my room by 2 other rooms with dogs. Both 4026 and 4027 had dogs that barked and howled incessantly for hours and hours back to back days and the walls do nothing to dampen the sound. I asked if anything could be done to contact the owners as this is not what is expected, in my opinion, at a $400 + per night hotel. Nothing appeared to be done as they continued their barking and when I saw the maid she just shrugged her shoulders when I asked her if anything could be done as the front desk obviously did not contact the owners. In her defense she may have not understood English or understood and didn't want to get involved. She was in the hallway for a couple hours and could hear it so I think not wanting to get involved was her plan.
Anyway, an overall nice facility, could use some upgrades but the dated décor still has charm and nice views.
I would not return based on their bring any dog of any size policy or bring any untrained dog policy - The 4th floor was nothing more than a kennel for many hours a day. It's too bad, I planned to golf Torrey the next visit with my San Diego Office team but not taking the chance on 8 hours per day of dogs. Happy 4th of July Weekend
