Spotless room, courteous staff, beautiful hotel, gorgeous views

Great hotel lovely pool area and great staff, nice room but walls are very thin so you do get some noise from next door, the hotel is starting to show it's age but still a very nice place to stay, would definitely go back...

The location is excellent for both the town and restaurants around the Lido area. Everything went well and we enjoyed the hotel. After 5 visits to Funchal over the last 5 years it was probably the best that we have stayed at. The hotel is quite old, but well maintained. It is starting to show its age, with small defects, that didn’t affect the stay but are noticeable. The room had a kitchenette which was very useful.

Fantastic holiday with lovely staff.

Absolutely lovely property and kind staff. Rooms were spacious, amazing views, and pool facilities and grounds are beautiful and clean. The food was great for a resort as well. AC not the best (rooms end up super humid) but otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Great place to stay on the water, walk to everything.

This place was ideal for us as first timers to Madeira Island and Funchal! Cant elaborate enough how beautiful the location of the hotel was with regards ru the water. Leaving the hotel allowed us to walk to a number of fine dining options. With kids, we chose to hop in our car and explore the bulk of Funchal and the main attractions but we were definitely within walking distance. The hotel is slightly dated, but our room was spacious and kept tidy the entire time. The hospitality and concierge were all great. We did not dine on the property so not sure how to rate that but LOVED the location overall

Royal Savoy did not disappoint. Excellent hotel with outstanding staff. Food superb - will definitely return soon.
