Clean room at great price and friendly staff

We stayed at Midway house for a three night break in April. The host was very knowledgeable and told us the best way to get into town, the bus and walking routes and where the tourist attractions were. He even provided a map, which was very helpful. Room and bathroom were very clean and tidy. Housekeeper emptied the bins and changed the cups, coffee and tea supplies daily. They also gave us clean towels during our break. Only criticism was the noisy stairs. They were very creaky and we could hear people coming and going. Would recommend this guest house, but not if you are a light sleeper.

Very good for the money. Comfortable and clean room that was quiet and slept well. Fair walk into town but there was a bus stop up road with buses into town every few mins. No problem parking.

The beds need to be replaced

Spent weekend 20-22/07/2024 for partners birthday for locality to York city centre place was very nice presented rooms ok food excellent and proprietor Paul was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, would recommend this establishment 9/10

The property was in a great location that gave the opportunity to walk into the city or take a bus from outside the property. The property is on the is older but in great condition and the facilities were average for such a property. The staff were friendly and happy to share local knowledge along with their thoughts about venues to visit along with places to eat. We would use this property again as we like visiting York and the surrounding area

Excellent, affordable place to enjoy York from. Highly recommend.
