Over all it was a fun time for us because, we choose not to let the disappointments decide our joy. The pool, hot tubs & exercise room were very clean and bright! The Staff were friendly. The Fireside Resturaunt, eggs benedict delicious, however the cappachino was week and the cup was grimmy. As a senior, I personally did not like the dim lighting throughout the entire Hotel. It makes me feel like im in a cage. The 1st nights room looked liked someone had been sleeping on the covers and not so clean. one mattress, sunk in the center because the platform was broken, and made a loud clacking noise everytime you adjusted your body. This woke me up all nt. My mattress sides were so worn down my body would twist when I slept. It was a horrible 1st night! (2 stars) I still believe the manager should have comped our room for that night or offererd us something of equal measure, for our inconvenience, of having to pack up and move our belongings to change rooms on our vacation time! The next 2 nts. were as expected, comfortable mattresses and able to get a good night rest, in a clean room!. (4 stars) Gum stuck on a pic in the hallway never got cleand off. Guest can be disgusting and disrespectful at times to so don't be that. The employees work hard to keep us comfortable. It is how the Hotel Managers Decide to compensate us for bad experiances, due, to Hotel neglect & inconveniences to the guest, that make the difference in how we view, and write reviews about our stays.

This was an excellent choice in Blackhawk and one of few family friendly places.

The ameristar has refunded me my 1 night stay and they are saying I need to go threw the third party to get my money back?

I didn't like that housekeeping will not clean your room, make the beds or replace room with clean frssh towels. If you stay 2 nights, don't expect housekeeping to clean your room.

Nice casino, excellent rooftop, pool and hot tubs, including outdoor hot tub area with fire pits on the rooftop. Rooms were great and the restaurants serve excellent food.

Absolutely loved this hotel !!

Clean and well kept property and room. Beds were comfortable, nice bedding, good soaking tub and a nice shower. I used the iron and ironing board which worked great. Hair dryer worked. We ate breakfast at the Kitchen Grill, nice selection on menu. We had a light dinner at the ramen place. It was an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
