We are regular visitors to Dubai and travel there every year. We’ve previously stayed at Zabeel Saray and Jumeirah Beach hotels, so we were expecting a similar high standard at Dukes The Palm. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed.
The hotel is in desperate need of a full refurbishment. Our room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, which made it unpleasant from the moment we arrived. Before our stay, I had been told via email that we would receive an upgrade, but this never happened.
The sunbeds around the pool were old, worn out, and dirty, and definitely need replacing. We also found the staff to be unhelpful and uninterested in resolving our concerns, which only added to our disappointment.
Overall, this was not the quality we expected based on our previous experiences in Dubai. Sadly, we won’t be returning to Dukes The Palm and would not recommend it in its current condition.
