The reason we return to Shearwater is the view and location.
All rooms have an ocean view and there is a lovely boardwalk along the beach front into town, takes about 15 mins.
The rooms are mostly dated and not well equipped sometimes.
We had no dining table in room 34, just two bar stools at the bench, uncomfortable for the older people or people with back problems.
No reading lamp and only 2 outdoor chairs on balcony, where we have had 4 in the past. We had visitors so couldn't sit outside.
The kitchen was very sparse on cutlery and only 2 coffee mugs.
We topped up the teaspoons, dessert spoons and bought an extra 2 coffee mugs.
Reception staff are friendly and very helpful - especially when we thought we had an issue with the TV.
We love that they provide luggage trollies to help transfer belongings up to your room.
We didn't swim in the pool or have a spa, they were being refurbished.
We will definitely stay again for the amazing ocean views and location on the beach front and an easy walk into the township. 😊
