Hampton Inn by Hilton Vancouver-Airport/Richmond

To be fair, this hotel is going through renovation. My rating is to inform people that construction is ongoing while the hotel is open. Once it is completed my rating should improve. The free breakfast was sufficient with eggs, bacon, and potatoes as well as pastry items and self serve waffles. The airport shuttle was very convenient and the staff is very good. The location is close to the airport so arriving late at night we had a short trip to the hotel. However, there aren’t stores nearby and I had to take an Uber to get basic items I needed. All in all I may stay there again after the work is completed.

We were disappointed in the hotel. They were in the middle of renovating. When checking into the room, there was someone else’s candy wrapper on the nightstand. The credenza with the TV above it was very sticky. For the cost of the room, we were very disappointed.

The hotel sent an email about a week before the stay indicating that they were undergoing renovations. The portion being renovated included the breakfast room and gathering place. Not enough temporary chairs/tables set up for the guests. Otherwise, what I would expect from a hampton.

Our room was clean, front desk workers were very helpful in giving us ideas on places to go see, worker at breakfast was very good & helpful. Very nice breakfast. Free ride to airport was very nice. Airport very close by. Hotel is in walking distance to a grocery store across the street. Had dinner a block away at Jade Seafood restaurant. Very good food recommended by a front desk worker. Construction was going on while we were there but couldn’t hear it from our room. Only heard airplanes flying over our room but not too bad. Hotel was about 45 min from cruise terminal.

Hotel is under significant renovations in the front lobby, so the area is not very pleasant. Elevators are slow so I resorted to the stairs most often from the 3rd floor.

Did not know the hotel was under renovations so some thins were limited. Breakfast was served in a small temporary room that very crowded and little or no space to sit. Had to take your breakfast back to your room to eat

The hotel check-in was under construction. The area ch was blocked off with plywood. There were a few tables and chairs in the small area to be used for breakfast but also for those checking in and out. We weren’t told about this and were not compensated for the inconvenience. I would have changed hotels if I had c known ahead of time. My husband is legally blind and I am limited in mobility. There is no crosswalk near the hotel to give access to restaurants or stores across the street.

Rooms was clean, staff was helpful, & parking was convenient. Construction was going on at time & elevator wasn't working properly & was long waits.

I don't like it all!

I have no breakfast and the elevator was not working...
