The Sahara is a beautiful hotel not far from all the entertainment but also has its own. I really liked the area because it’s not that busy and the hotel check-in was fast. The casino is gorgeous along with the pool and bars they have on the property. We got upgraded to a larger room and I wasn’t really impressed by the condition of the room. The sconce was broken on the one side of the bed, noticeable damage throughout the room, lamp bulb was unscrewed for the room lamp, shower handle was incredibly loose and we thought this might have broke during our stay, disgusting stain on the headboard, and the bathroom door did not close properly. Additionally the AC was not working all that well in our room but also it was 100+ degrees outside so it’s understandable. We were given room credit but it was somewhat useless as it’s only good for the one specific restaurant on the property and not the convenience store they had on the property so more like a gift card.
We booked for this stay and shortly after booking the hotel closed down the only spa and the larger gym on the property so these amenities were not available for us and the secondary gym was just a large closet which I wasn’t not impressed with at all. The hotel refused to refund us for anything which was unacceptable in my opinion.
The staff were great though and very helpful.
