This hotel seems to be a hub for and catering to German travellers. We arrived on a weekend and the hotel felt like it was overbooked! The restaurant is understaffed, and the wait staff there need better customer service training. Being busy and telling your customers politely to wait works … ignoring them for 20 minutes and not looking at them is extremely rude! We left and did not eat at the hotel pool bar the rest of our trip. There are much better and cheaper options just 5 minutes of a drive away. The one evening we came back from a sailing trip late and called for room service they said their machine didn’t work and to call them back after 20 minutes! With 2 hungry kids at 10:30pm, this doesn’t work. Thankfully, Uber Eats came to the rescue.
Regarding our room, we had booked a family suite, and the room felt old, needing upgrades. On one of the hottest days the AC did not work. And the hotel staff did nothing to help. The pool is good, and is their one saving grace, but besides that the rest of the property could do with an upgrade.
This is our 5th hotel on this Spain/ Portugal trip, and was the worst one- especially for the price we paid. Won’t be coming back here again and wouldn’t recommend the property go international travelers with kids.
